About Becky:

Becky Annah is a multi-certified dog trainer and founder of BK9, with over 16 years of professional experience specializing in aggression, reactivity management, behaviour modification, puppy evaluation and advanced precision obedience for pet and working dogs.

She has developed deep expertise through direct collaborations with leading international trainers, including serving as the inaugural graduate and contributor to a pioneering advanced handler certification program—where she served as the designated aggression specialist and primary resource for aggression, reactivity, and complex behaviour cases. She continues to engage in peer-level exchanges on precision obedience and aggression management, as well as ongoing co-hosted workshops focused on real-world results.

In 2023, she travelled to Belgium for intensive training immersion: her dog Vykör was worked daily over two full weeks, performed in four live demonstrations per day during a five-day workshop event, and received advanced training under a world-class NVBK judge (Carlos) and a globally certified protection decoy (Juan Esteban). As a certified instructor for the Bootcamp, she contributed to high-level instruction and demonstrations in this elite setting. This hands-on proofing complements her gun dog desensitization background (evolving into broader working dog desensitisation for noise, environment, and high-stimulation scenarios) and ongoing study of innovative, communication-driven training philosophies.

Her integrated approach delivers customized, effective in-home programs that prioritize safety, clear communication, the handler-dog bond, and lasting progress—particularly for challenging cases involving reactivity, bite history, and difficult behaviours.

Becky is passionate about empowering owners with practical, lifelong tools for success. She offers in-person services on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, online coaching worldwide, and collaborative events to advance the field of dog training. She is actively expanding her offerings to include specialized working puppy raising programs, pet raising programs, and security/protection dog training to support dogs in high-drive and protective roles.
